Worcester MP Robin Walker has laid a poppy at the House of Commons garden of remembrance in honour of the sacrifice made by people of Worcester and across the UK who died in service to their country.
The garden of remembrance allows MPs from all 650 of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies to lay a poppy with a wooden cross to honour military and civilian servicemen and women involved in the two world wars and later conflicts.
Robin said:
“It is one of my privileges as the representative of Worcester to pay tribute to the people of the city who have fought and died for the freedoms we all enjoy today.
“Earlier this month I also paid tribute to those who took part in the battle of Gheluvelt and will lay a wreath in Worcester at the annual Remembrance Day service on Sunday.”
